Since I picked up the car in the morning, there was no one at the counter. Using the self-service pickup was a bit tricky. The staff's service attitude was great, but self-service pickup can be difficult if you don't speak English, so be aware.

I rented a Volvo XC60, but they gave me a basic Mazda hatchback instead!
Since I had already checked online beforehand, the Avis front desk did not explain anything and directly handed me the keys. It was only when I got to the parking lot that I saw the car. XC60 and Mazda hatchback are considered the same class of vehicle???
XC60's equivalent class should be Audi Q5 or BMW X5/X3, right?

Excellent service and great car. The road was slippery, and I crashed the car, but the staff handled it quickly and efficiently. The QEEQ customer service also assisted promptly. I even got to see the aurora, haha!

The staff assisting with car pickup was very friendly. They only asked, as a routine, whether I wanted additional insurance, and they explained the car usage and return policies quite clearly. I was driving alone and originally planned to take the ferry, but due to limited space caused by too many RVs, I couldn't board. The next ferry wasn't scheduled for another three hours, so I had to take the road the entire way. Fortunately, the car was in good condition, equipped with automatic driving assistance and being a hybrid model, it was also fuel-efficient (Norwegian fuel prices are truly expensive).

There was only one staff member at the office, which was shared by three car rental companies. It wasn't hard to find, and the waiting time was about 15 minutes. There was no excessive upselling; they only re-confirmed whether I was crossing borders and the driver's age. The process was simple, but I had some doubts because you had to swipe the deposit before seeing the contract. However, the deposit was refunded quickly (within 1-2 days after returning the car) and the final charges only included toll fees, young driver fees, and extra road assistance insurance. Both renting and returning the car were self-service. After getting the key, you inspect the car yourself before driving off. When returning, you can take photos of the car for your own records (this is optional), and either drop the keys in a box or hand them to a staff member.
