The owner is extremely nice. At the time, he understood that since I arrived late, I couldn’t exchange money or buy a SIM card. He generously lent me a phone card so I could at least make calls, and he let me exchange some US dollars for Namibian cash at the current exchange rate.
We booked airport pickup with shuttle service indicated, but they asked us to go to the store to pick up the car ourselves. After contacting the rental platform, the pickup cost was reimbursed. The pickup process took quite a while.
Extra charges after returning the car, with unexpected deductions and no receipts or emails to inform me. It was only by chance that I noticed the charges on my credit card statement. After inquiring through the rental platform, it took 10 days to get a response, only to be told it was for renting a GPS, which I never rented in the first place. There were no documents for me to sign regarding any GPS rental. The charges are still being disputed, adding a very unpleasant experience to an otherwise wonderful trip!
This car rental experience was terrible. The car rental company inexplicably charged an extra 5000 after returning the car. When I called to inquire, they said it was for a car lock, but there were no incidents when I returned the car. Since I had purchased full insurance, I didn't bother arguing with them and asked for a repair invoice for the car lock to claim the insurance back home. After waiting a month, there was still no response.
