Pick-up Instructions

The Apex - Launceston Airport car rental location is located out of the airport

Please contact the staff to pick you up to Apex - Launceston Airport car rental when you arrived.

After collecting your luggage, please do the following: Phone our office toll free on 1800 273 922 (or +613 7043 7367) and advise you are ready for an Apex shuttle pick-up. From the Baggage Claim area, exit of the main Airport building and turn right. Walk to the Departures end of the terminal and wait for the Apex Shuttle Van to arrive. Please Note: The Apex office does not have toilet facilities, so if the need is great please use the toilets at the airport before boarding the shuttle.

Drop-off Instructions

Vehicle needs to be retuned to our depot located at 188 Evandale Road, Western Junction (Within the Avis Workshop and Administration facility). Please park your vehicle on the immediate right in the yard. Leave your luggage in the car and follow the signs to the Apex office.

    The car seemed to have been roughly handled by the earlier customers. The car was not properly cleaned. The air con had a strange smell when switched on. We had to return our car 18 days earlier than the scheduled date due to death in our family. We had called apex if we could return it in Hobart (we had picked it up from Launceston) but they refused. Even though we were grieving and had to leave immediately they did not give us that option. We had to drive to Launceston in the middle of the night and then the after hours drop of location was not open so we waited for 45 minutes, all this with a small 2 year old toddler. After that we have been chasing apex for some refund (we booked for 24 days and returned it after 6 days) as we used up only 1/4th of our booked days and due to extenuating circumstances. All places like hotels, bnbs, airlines refunded/waived extra charges when we provided them our reason and documents. Apex guys are refusing to coordinate and refund us any money. We will never book from apex again.

    The lady at the pickup location was quite patient. The guy at the drop-off location had a strong accent. The Kia Carnival can seat 7 people, and the trunk can hold 4 pieces of 24-inch luggage, one small suitcase, and 3 backpacks. The built-in USB charging port is convenient. However, there's no suitable spot for a phone holder.
