Overall it was a pretty good experience: the car was quite new and smooth to drive. But the information wasn’t very clear. When I booked, it showed Tesla, but when I arrived at SFO they told me there was no Tesla available, only other models, and they even had to double-check if they had any EVs at all. That’s when I realized there was a tiny line in the booking that said Tesla or similar. If you don’t look closely, you’d totally miss that, so I was a bit disappointed. That said, apart from not getting the exact car I was expecting, I was quite happy with everything else and the service overall.

Pick‑up and return were really easy, and the car was pretty new and in great shape.

One of the latches on the soft-top Wrangler was broken, so when it poured, water leaked in… There weren’t any other Wranglers to swap into, so I just had to put up with it. Then on the way down from the volcano the wind was so strong it literally lifted the top—such a mess… But once we’d already been up to the stargazing lookout, I didn’t really care anymore. They switched me into a very new Altima and the rest of the trip was smooth sailing—sedans are definitely more comfortable.

The paperwork was quick and easy, the staff explained everything clearly, and the instructions on the platform for returning the car were very straightforward.

Had a really great rental experience in Budapest. The whole process went smoothly and they refunded the deposit super fast after I returned the car. Plus, the pick-up and drop-off spot is right at a gas station, which saves a lot of hassle!

Everything was great – the staff were super nice, the service was excellent and the price was very, very good.

At first there was a bit of miscommunication – they gave us a 5-seater even though I’d booked a 7-seater. After talking to them on site, they switched us to a 7-seat Buick. I didn’t really pay attention to the exact model, but the Buick was a bit bigger, which worked out perfectly since we had six people and a lot of luggage.

They gave us a Subaru—don’t remember the exact model, but it had three rows and fit six of us perfectly. It was basically brand new with only about 700 miles on it, and the power was great. I’d never driven one before so I wasn’t used to some of the smart features, but I eventually figured out the adaptive cruise control, which made driving a lot easier.

Budget is a big, reliable company – the car was in great condition and pickup/return was super efficient. The Toyota Yaris Ativ we booked had plenty of power, a roomy interior, and was really fuel-efficient. It felt great to drive. Highly recommended!

The airport is really small, so all the rental companies are grouped together and you just pick up the car from the parking lot right outside the terminal. Super quick and convenient.

I was charged a fine saying i did not return the car with full tank even thou the car was returned with full tank fuel. So make sure to keep your reciepts and take videos before returning the car.

The counter is really small with just one staff member, so things move a bit slowly. We didn’t make it in time to pick up the car on the day we booked, so we went the next day and our original car type was no longer available—they gave us an SUV instead. We waited a little while to get the car, but it was very new and super clean. Returning it was easy too, we just had to drop it off in the hotel parking lot.

They even gave me a whole case of oil, which was awesome.

The rental company was easy to find and once I showed them the pickup slip, the paperwork was done really quickly. The only downside was I couldn’t get the exact car model I’d booked – this seems to happen a lot. It’d be great if they could actually provide the model you reserve in advance.
