Very professional service, super friendly and really patient. The only downside was they didn’t remind me about paying for parking. Paying for parking in the UAE is a bit of a hassle—my credit card payment kept failing, and I ended up having to go to a supermarket to change some cash just to get it done.

I got to the store about 27 minutes earlier than my scheduled time and ended up driving out later than my original booking. No one reminded me that the extra time would be charged, but after I filed a complaint they agreed to refund it, so overall I’m satisfied. They did try to upsell roadside assistance, and I added it just for convenience.

After comparing with Hertz and Avis, Thrifty’s quote was clearly more competitive, especially if, like me, you only need a simple car to get around. The base rate was very reasonable, and booking through a third‑party site shaved the price down even further. Car condition: a solid, practical runabout I ended up with a Nissan Sentra. - Exterior & interior: The car was generally clean. There were a few minor scratches on the outside (pretty normal for rentals), but the interior was in decent shape and well maintained. - Driving experience: As a compact sedan, the Sentra is well‑suited for city driving and everyday commuting. Fuel economy was pleasantly good, and the seats were reasonably comfortable. For longer trips they can feel a bit on the thin side, but as a temporary, get‑you‑from‑A‑to‑B car, it does the job just fine.

Loved the car – big, comfortable, and easily fit four suitcases. Really smooth to drive too. Only downside was having to wait in a super long line to pick it up.

I always go with Hertz in Thailand. They’ve got way more choice than Europcar, prices are lower, and they refund the deposit really quickly.

Staff were really professional and efficient with both pickup and return. They kindly suggested I stick to toll‑free routes so I wouldn’t get hit with extra ETC charges. The car itself was in great condition, clean, and had no weird smells.

Overall it was pretty good, and the staff were really nice. I’m guessing it’s a company policy, but they did try hard to talk us into prepaying for a full tank of gas. In the end we decided not to prepay and just return the car with a full tank instead.

Went when it was pretty quiet so there was no line at all. I compared a bunch of rental companies online and ended up going with Thrifty. Everything went really smoothly, the car in the same class was great, and both the price and service were genuinely good. No hard selling, staff attitude was fine, and the rates were reasonable. I’d definitely consider using this company again next time.

Staff were pretty nice both at pickup and drop-off. But the Forester they gave me was a really old model with no wireless CarPlay, so I had to use my phone for navigation the whole trip and mount it above the dashboard. It was tiring to look at and it kept almost falling off.

I only took the basic insurance from the rental company and didn’t add anything extra, but the staff still took the time to remind me to set Google Maps to avoid ferries and gave me the relevant contact numbers in case anything happens or I need emergency assistance.

It cost me about $25 more, but it saved my whole family from waiting around hungry for another hour, so it was totally worth it. I finished everything online, got the parking spot number right away, and then just walked over and drove off.
