The process of picking up and returning the car was very convenient and relatively efficient (20-30 minutes to pick up the car, 5 minutes to return it). When picking up the car, you go through the standard registration process, swipe your card for a pre-authorization deposit, and then someone will assist you in inspecting the car (checking fuel level, interior, and exterior condition). Speaking of the exterior inspection, the staff were more meticulous than I was, examining every detail (taking about 5 minutes). They even noted minor scratches caused by car washes, so there's no need to worry about unfair charges when returning the car. Regarding concerns about being overcharged when returning the car, there's really no need to worry either. The staff conducting the return inspection were quite casual, simply starting the car to check the fuel level (to confirm a full-tank return) and circling the car once (less than 5 seconds). As long as there wasn't major paint damage or noticeable dents, even minor scratches wouldn’t affect the return process. When returning the car, the pre-authorization deposit was immediately canceled, although the exact timing depends on the bank. However, I was curious—once the pre-authorization is canceled, if there were any violations during the rental period, how would they charge me? Could this mean I could speed as much as I want, as long as I don't get caught on the spot?

After exiting Santorini Airport, follow the path up to the second floor. They told me there was only one automatic car left, an old one. Because there are many steep roads in Santorini, I recommend renting a car.
