Easy process/scam insurance

The car rental office is very easy to find, just a 300-meter walk to the left after exiting the airport. The paperwork is simple with no insurance upsells. We booked a Polo but received a very new Citroën C3. The trunk is spacious enough for two large suitcases and one small suitcase. The tank wasn't full, and you don't need to return it full either. Zakynthos isn't very big, so unless you're driving around the island every day, you won't use much fuel.

There is no office at Santorini Airport. At the agreed time, a staff member will come to you with the car. The guy who assisted was very friendly and explained everything clearly. When returning the car, you might sometimes leave it directly at the airport parking lot without locking it or meeting anyone. Although this feels a bit unsettling, it seems to be fine.

Easily found just across from the port, great location. Although the staff's Greek-accented English was a bit hard to understand, everything went smoothly.

I have rent 2 car with small type, and the staff is advise us to upgrade to the medium size due to exceed of the luggage storage issue, is reasonable and acceptable. But 1 of our car aircon is not cold and when returning of vehicle we have topping up the gas to the level we collecting our vehicle but when the staff come to our hotel for collection they has request us to pay them 5 euro per car for the gas top up. Is ok for me to give them 5 euro car but we has purposely drive the car very far away only to top up the gas in order to get penalty.. but in the end we still get penalty 5 euro per car.. Overall experience is great just have to clarify with the staff before collecting the car.

The car was not the VW Polo that we booked but apparently in the same class (Hyundi i20). The rental office was easy to find and the staff very helpful and courteous. Car was in good condition.
