I want to say this was the worst experience ever. Nippon deceives Chinese customers. I made a reservation to pick up the car at 12:30 PM. Following the instructions provided by the car rental agency, I arrived at the store at 12 PM. After explaining a series of pickup procedures, they told me my IDP was expired. I called the rental agency, and they said they would get back to me after verifying. By the time I canceled the order, it was too late, and they charged me a 3200 RMB cancellation fee. This is not international practice; Nippon is utterly shameless.

Everything was good, but the map code for the drop-off location was unclear. Luckily, after asking someone, I found it nearby.

The provided car's trunk was too small with insufficient space. I wasn't allowed to upgrade even if I was willing to pay extra, and they claimed they had no other cars. The staff didn't make any effort to find a solution.

Very good experience. If the pickup location instruction can be clearer, that will be perfect!

Some difficulties communicating with counter staff, but they are helpful and try to go out of their way.
