The car rental company is great, the procedures are handled quickly, and it seems to be a mid-to-high-end private brand. Sometimes there are even discounts, and one advantage of this company is that they don't require a deposit.

The staff was very friendly, car pickup was quick, the insurance coverage was comprehensive, and the explanation was clear. The car was very new and fully equipped.

Apart from waiting for more than half an hour, everything was fine. Overall satisfied, fair price, insurance was not expensive, upgraded to a BMW 3 Series for an additional £8 per day, which was acceptable.

Excellent service

The rental place was easy to get to, was very clean and I did not have to wait at all before someone attended to me. The car was in a great condition and ran very well. It was also very clean. Drop off was as efficient as pick up and I am very happy with the service.

The counter staff were absolutely brilliant. It made the whole process very easy.

Great staff at both locations

The only problem we had with the car was a flat tyre on the motorway. Which as the car did not have a spare tyre resulted in a three hour wait at the side of the motorway and we had get the tyre replaced at a cost of 204 pounds. As we had paid for zero excess this was refunded by the hire company. Some to think about when hiring a car. Arnold Clark were helpful and the service was quick and efficient.

The friendly professionalism of the yellow taxi (van) driver, on pick up and drop off was awesome. I ordered a Kia Ceed, which is classed as a crossover SUV. The Toyota Corolla I was given, describes itself, in its manual, as a sports hatchback, and being a hybrid, carried batteries below it's rear seat and boot. The resulting boot space was pathetic, barely accepting one large case. The second large case, and two smaller cases were placed along the rear seat, a dangerous option in the event of a forward collision.

This was the first time I rented from Arnold Clark thru QEED, and I loved it. Airport pick-up of rental cars costs more because of location surcharge, so I opted to pick-up at its city location (Inverness, Scotland). The webpage instructions on where to meet Arnold Clark's shuttle were too simple, and I could not find it. So I called and was further instructed by phone. After I finally found it, the ride into town was smooth. The local agent (forgot his name) who helped me collect the car was the best I've ever seen. Not only did he go over the rental agreement clearly and quickly, he spent a lot of time documenting existing exterior damages and explaining a few practical features of the Peugeot 208 assigned to me. When I returned the car 9 days later, I did not have time to examine the car with their agent and hopped on the airport shuttle immediately. This was not wise, but I was pressed by time and I was sure that there were no new exterior damages. Two days later Overall, the experience was the best in my years of foreign trips. I would recommend Arnold Clark to anyone looking to rent in Scotland.
