Overall really happy with the experience. The deposit was refunded just one day after returning the car. I accidentally booked a manual but they gave me an automatic, which was great. The only downside was being charged €36 for Hungarian highway tolls over 12 days—most rental companies usually include domestic highway fees in the price.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind: 1) They switched us to a diesel model, which pushed our fuel costs up a bit; 2) When we returned the car, they mentioned a possible cleaning fee. We’d already tidied up the interior, but the dust in the trunk from dragging suitcases is pretty much unavoidable. I insisted on waiting for them to confirm the actual amount, and in the end they didn’t charge us anything. This part really depends on personal expectations — next time I’ll contact them in advance to confirm the car model and maybe bring some basic cleaning supplies so we can leave the car spotless. With five people and more than five suitcases, you really do need a 9-seater!

No one tried to upsell extra insurance or add‑ons – they just confirmed the cross‑border option and second driver, then charged exactly for that. Returning the car was really easy too: they checked the vehicle quickly and immediately cancelled the pending authorization.

Everything went really smoothly overall, the car was in good shape and they even gave me one that was less than a year old.

Really good experience overall – the car was in great condition and the service was excellent.

We ended up with a Hyundai i30 wagon, which was basically the same class as the Toyota we expected. The car was really clean and had just over 30,000 km on it. Staff were super efficient with both pickup and dropoff, and since the branch is right in the city, it was really convenient to get back to the hotel after returning the car.

First time renting with this company and it was a great experience. No one tried to upsell anything, we just chose full coverage ourselves. The pre-authorized deposit was released on the same day we returned the car, which was impressive.
