I feel like I was scammed.
1. I have a C2 driver's license, but they assigned me a C1 vehicle. How was this accepted by their system verification?
2. The handling of after-sales issues took far too long. When I returned the car, the local car rental agency offered a solution (charging me only for one day's rental and refunding all other charges, with recorded phone communication between the agency and domestic staff). However, the after-sales representatives never properly followed up — I could not get any response. It's clear they are trying to delay the process and avoid giving me a refund.
I informed them that I had already purchased insurance, yet they still required me to buy additional coverage. The reason given was that without buying insurance, the deposit would be $2000, which my card could not handle. After further negotiation, the insurance cost was reduced from over $200 to $75. Once I paid the $75 for insurance, the deposit was reduced to $1000 and successfully processed. The vehicle's condition was also not ideal—the remote control often failed to work, and when using the key, the alarm could not be turned off, causing it to go off continuously during the trip. This company is a reputable international company, and I have frequently rented cars from them. However, this was the first time I encountered such issues. In other countries, the same company's services were excellent.
