I had previously read mixed reviews about car rentals in Cairo. This company actually forwards orders to Eurocar. The staff at the rental office was very efficient, sincere, and straightforward—no scams involved. The car was a Nissan Sunny with less than 30,000 kilometers on it, so it was fairly new. The owner mentioned that the previous renter in Luxor had damaged the rear right wheel and paid around 1200 RMB. If you purchase full insurance, such costs can be fully covered. However, there's an issue I encountered: my booking through QEEQ stated that it included basic insurance (essentially basic damage insurance where amounts beyond around 4000 RMB would be covered by the insurance company, but amounts below that would need to be paid personally). When I asked the office staff about this, they stated there was no damage insurance, and if there was, it would likely have been offered by QEEQ or other agencies like Shouqi. This inconsistency raises some concerns—either the rental owner misunderstood or there's an error in QEEQ's information. Therefore, I recommend purchasing full insurance. Additionally, I asked whether the car needed washing during pickup. The owner said it wasn't necessary, and the staff mentioned it depends on the situation. Ultimately, I felt the car's exterior was a bit dirty, but they didn't require me to clean it. I simply had to refuel the car to full.
Despite providing flight details and arrival time, the car was delivered more than two hours late. There is no storefront at the airport, and both pickup and return are done in the parking lot. A $10 cleaning fee was charged during return. On the positive side, the car was a new one with only 3,000 kilometers, and the service was acceptable.
I provided the flight number and arrival time, yet they were still over two hours late delivering the car. There is no storefront at the airport; both pickup and drop-off happen in the parking lot. I was charged a $10 car wash fee upon return. The car itself was fairly new with only 3,000 kilometers, and the service was okay.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
