Hertz has a poor sense or regard of customer service

The car rental company's service was okay, after all, it's a large company.

For some reason, the rental price I was given was three times higher than what I had booked. I had initially booked for a bit over 240 euros, but they quoted me over 670 euros. After confirming twice, they still insisted there was no issue. It wasn't until their manager intervened that they found the mistake and apologized. They also tried to upsell me to a higher category vehicle. The same issue occurred when returning the car; they gave me a bill for 670 euros. What the hell! Are they out of their minds? Just because the economy is bad doesn't mean they can do this. Passat, Passat.

Car was fine.

I did not see the requirements for the added insurance on the website. When I got to the counter, there was no option other than to purchase it.

Like: Car was very economical and ideal for our situation.
Dislike: Perhaps having airconditioning would have made a big difference with experiencing such warm weather during our stay .
