The model is a Fiat Panda, the vehicle is in excellent condition with approximately 14,000 kilometers driven. Comfortable to drive, the trunk fits a 28-inch suitcase. Returning the car was very smooth as well. Truly a big company with a reputable brand, highly trustworthy.
After picking up my luggage, I could immediately see the car rental counters. You need to take a number at the storefront and wait for your turn to proceed with the rental. The entire process was very smooth. After mentioning that I had purchased QEEQ's insurance, they just informed me that I would be responsible for any issues and did not try to upsell additional insurance. The deposit was 300 euros. The car I received had several scratches, but the rental company emailed a report listing all the pre-documented scratches. When picking up the car, I compared it against the report and was advised to promptly report any other issues to the staff. For the car return, simply navigate to the terminal and pay attention to the 'car rental' signs near the airport. Just follow the signs, and everything will be fine.
Overall satisfactory. We got a diesel Ford Focus with space for three suitcases, perfect for our group of three. The space was ample, though the car wasn't very new and had several scratches noted by email at each location. I had purchased insurance, but it seems the urea wasn't checked beforehand, and on the last day, the system kept warning that it was depleted while we were heading to the airport. Unfortunately, nearby gas stations did not have the required urea, so the system kept beeping as we drove to return the car. Overall, the car was in good condition; diesel cars are fuel-efficient and offer good power. Driving between different EU countries was hassle-free.
The car was upgraded for free during pickup. It was a brand-new car in excellent condition. The staff met us at the arrival gate and took us to the pickup location via shuttle in about 5 minutes.
Overall efficiency was quite high. They didn't push any additional sales after hearing I bought insurance. The issue was that I booked an SUV but was given a hybrid Mercedes A250e instead. The car's low ground clearance made it difficult to drive on the mountainous roads near Sintra in Lisbon.
The staff didn't try to upsell additional insurance, which was great overall! Just remember to strictly follow parking rules in the U.S., pay in advance, etc., as fines can be very expensive.
