Was forced into accepting extra charges or leave. Goldcar - never again

Staff were inflexible about early pick-up (even though cars were available) and tried to up-sell a more expensive package in order to have the car 1 hour earlier. We waited the hour, then completed pickup with a friendly and helpful staff member. Numerous add-ons, such as obligatory transponder for the toll highways, were unexpected - but the total amount was not excessive.

Terrible service pre pay for insurance they charge me again for something i did not ask saying that ins i pre pay doesn’t count for them. Rip off! Never again .Do Not Recommend at all.

Horrible experience with counter staff at Lisbon Airport. Unfriendly, lazy, failed to provide information about the drop-off process, tried to manipulate me to buy extra insurance. Extremely unprofessional and would not use them again.

Waited too long at airport to be picked up as first van full and had to wait for 2nd car. Long lines at check out counter. Insurance issues. Ending up buying 100€ more on insurance as goldcar made it sound that the insurance I had bought was not good enough. We were tired of the long process and just wanted to get on with our trip so we paid. Not good!!

Awful 1xmale 1x female bullish in hard selling insurance not interested in us just in pushing us to pay€164.00 euros for the car insurance, rude ,abrupt,and at 66 years old I don’t like to be treated in this manner when I treated them with respect.Will look to avoid Gold car in the future out of 10 score 1.
