Online booking easy but not seamless in execution

The store tends to recommend certain options and mentions that third-party insurance may not be useful.

When I picked up the car, there was only half a tank of fuel. The staff told me to return it with the same amount. When I returned it, there was even more than half a tank, and the staff said it was fine. However, they later charged me $110 for not refilling the tank completely! I sent multiple emails to the rental company and they only replied that they would handle it, but it's been almost 10 days with no update! I have to keep sending emails; the service is terrible.

The Melbourne city branch closes at 5 PM, and they won't accept returns even a few minutes late. You have to return the car the next morning, and they charge an extra half-day rental fee.

The service is decent, and the car is in good condition.

The car was brand new and has excellent fuel efficiency. Service was good but we hated the $1000 pre-authorization on the credit card.
