The line for picking up the car in Las Vegas was extremely long, taking more than half an hour to line up and over an hour to get the car! I originally booked a mid-size SUV, Jeep Grand Cherokee, through QEEQ. However, upon arrival, I was given a standard SUV, Kia Sorento. I don’t know if it was QEEQ or Alamo that switched the vehicle. The most frustrating part was that when returning the car in LA, even though I had refueled it completely, Alamo charged me an FSO fee, which is for refueling services, costing about $50. When picking up the car, the staff tried to sell me insurance, which I declined. Then they tried to sell me prepaid full tank gas at a bit over $2.20 per gallon, claiming it was cheaper than the city. I got confused and bought it. In hindsight, it wasn't a great deal. Firstly, the tank capacity is average for that car type, which might be more or less than my actual car's capacity. Secondly, you need to use up the fuel before returning the car, which is hard to gauge, requiring frequent refueling and mileage calculations. It's more convenient to refill near the return spot. The return process was quite fast, though. An inspector checked the car's exterior, issued a return receipt, and it was done in two or three minutes. Overall, it was a good experience.

The rental company's attitude was very poor. They were not proactive in communicating, and the price hikes were arbitrary with no standard pricing system.
