The car was decent, with a mileage of 40,000 kilometers. However, the windshield had two cracks caused by stones that were not repaired, slightly affecting visibility while driving. The steering felt a bit loose, which wasn't ideal given the narrow roads and gravel paths typical in Tasmania. The staff at the rental office were quite diligent and patient. I purchased full insurance from the rental company, and there were no pre-authorizations or deposits. They charged 300 AUD for insurance, and I was able to drive away immediately.

The waiting time at Hobart airport was a bit long, but understandable since many flights land and many people pick up their cars at the same time.

The counter staff and car inspection staff were very enthusiastic. Of course, they recommended other insurance options before we picked up the car, but when I politely declined, they immediately proceeded with the rental process and explained everything in detail. Very satisfied.

The reception staff at Hobart Airport were very welcoming and experienced. It might be because we had rented from BUDGET before, and they had a record of it.
