While it is understandable to take back the vehicle after an accident, it's unacceptable to suddenly terminate the remaining 17-day rental and not refund any money, which is an unfair term and behavior. As a car rental service, there is no protection for the customer's interests. This made it extremely difficult to maneuver without a car abroad. There was no reminder at pickup about how the rental company would single-handedly handle any potential accidents.
