EXPERIENCE IN LA:ABOVE AVERAGE WAIT TIMES, POOR CHOICE OF CARS, AND PRICE GOUGED ON PETROL FILL

I HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH FOX IN SAN JOSE 2 WEEKS EARIER. THIS TIME THERE WERE A NUMBER OF ISSUES 1) IT TOOK 30 MINUTES FOR THE SHUTTLE TO TURN UP FROM LAX 2) THERE WAS A 20 MINUTE WAIT IN THE QUEUE AT FOX 3) THERE WERE NO MIDSIZED SUVS AVAILABLE WHEN I WENT TO SELECT A CAR SO I WAS GIVEN A VERY LARGE JEEP WHICH I FOUND VERY CUMBERSON TO MANOUVRE AND DRIVE. 4) I WAS QUOTED $105? PLUS PETROL @ AROUND $5 PER GALLON. I FELT I WAS RIPPED OFF WHEN CHARGED $150 IN THE END AS THE FUEL GUAGE WAS JUST UNDER FULL!

Overall, it was quite good, but the wait to pick up the car was a bit long. Initially, they said it might take half an hour and asked if I would consider a different model. After I declined, I still got the model I wanted pretty quickly. Overall, I was satisfied.

I will not rent from this company again. They attract customers with low prices, but the cost for extensions is very high, and you have no choice but to accept it because you are already hundreds of kilometers away.
