Great experience, but it'll cost you.

Tried to make us buy the most expensive insurance without discussing it with us.

When my husband picked up the car we had already paid the car in full online. We did not need collision and theft because we were covered under our matercard. we even brought a letter to prove this. When he picked up the car they said we needed to put 5,000$ euros on our mastercard in case of an accident. we only had a limit of 8,000 canadian on the cars so 5,000$ euros was exceeding the limit. Finally we had to take their insurance which came to about 1,000$ Canadian. Plus we had to pay for airport tax of 25 euro which was not indicated on line when I booked the car. So 1,000$ more for the car kind of ruined our holiday. We had a fender bender during our trip so good thing we had insurance but the mastercard would also have covered it without having spent the extra 1000$ canadian. .

We had a very frustrating experience where we were not allowed to take the car off the lot without purchasing additional insurance, despite showing them proof of coverage. This has been an ongoing process to get this money refunded.

Counter staff refused to give me a car unless I pay for the upgraded insurance that would cost 300 euro so I refused to pay as the car was to come with insurance and I also have coverage with my credit card I asked would the put a hold for the overage on my card and they refused.

Dislike: did not like that i had to pay 19e per day for insurance as credit card and excess did not match, that was a surprise i could have done without. good car though and easy on petrol.
