Europcar handled the rental. The booking was for a 10:00 AM pickup, but we arrived early to save travel time. The staff accommodated us right away at 9:15 AM without delay. They were professional, explained all necessary details thoroughly, and had already purchased and installed the highway toll sticker. At the time, there were about three customers and two staff members present. The process was orderly and efficient.

Pickup was smooth, the car was almost brand new, in great condition, and had good smart features like lane departure warnings and reliable speed limit recognition with timely overspeed reminders. Right before returning the car and after refueling (near the store), we got into a minor accident (someone hit us while refueling). Fortunately, a manager from the store was nearby and helped us handle the situation, so we returned the car without issues. Except for the deposit, there were no attempts to sell insurance or upgrade the car model. The return process was hassle-free without meticulous checks of the car's exterior. The Lucerne train station is quite large, so finding the store for pickup took some effort, but returning the car was much easier as we were familiar with the route.
