CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON AVIS IN WASHINGTON D.C.

AVIS's service has always been reliable. However, this time I got an older car, which was a bit disappointing.

They charged for a full tank of gas and it was over half full. They also charged over $200 for a “service fee” on top of what we paid you.

Wait was long to get Rental, Car smelt of smoke and was full of dog hair. was pointed to car and had to take 2 kids, 2 car seats and luggage across the car park to find it. was charged for prepaid gas when i said I did not want it. Was told I would be refunded but 4 days later no sign of refund. Was not made aware of a $100 holding fee when renting the vehicle either.

Price drop protector hasn't come into effect in either rentals I have tried. Easy to rent and prepay and quick confirmation

Picked up the car in the morning, service attitude was acceptable.

Location not the easiest to find. Signposting could be improved. Car type was upgraded I believe due to the lack of available vehicles. Some damage to supplied vehicle. Windows were filthy internally.

Counter staff was very helpful. Gave me an upgraded vehicle.

The counter staff did not seem very friendly but were helpful. The car had lots of little dings and scratches which I had to point out to the guard at the gate.

The service attitude was excellent, and they patiently explained everything. Hopefully, the pre-authorization will be smoothly released.
