RETURNS: When you arrive at our location, follow the signs for "car return" and stay with your vehicle until you are approached by our staff. (If returning to the same location) Return parking Google map link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6jtDrLBqiyUt3f2C8 All vehicles must be returned to the Hertz main compound. All vehicles not returned to the main compound will be charged a collection fee of GBP 50.00 plus parking charges. Vehicles parked outside the terminal buildings will be towed and you will be charged all fees relating to the release of the vehicle.

    They could not check the car in quickly as it was a 30 day hire. I was there for almost an hour and a half whilst their computer gave problems. They then tried to bill me one day extra at a high day rate when I actually handed it in a day early! They then corrected this but I must look at my statement next month to ensure they did not bill me extra.

    Hertz is located a bit far, but there's a shuttle bus which helps. I came from Terminal 5, the queue was short in the morning, and I got the car quickly. The service was alright, but they recommended too many things. You need to say No to everything, especially when they emphasize that fuel prices are cheaper than the market. If you ask whether you can get a refund for any leftover fuel, they say no. I almost got fooled. It's hard to return the car with an empty tank precisely. Also, after getting the car, carefully check its condition. I found a few scratches that weren't noted in the inspection report, so you need to inform them yourself.

    After about a 20-minute bus ride from the airport, you reach the counter which is manned by just two people, making the service very slow. They try to sell you extra fuel and insurance. The first invoice they gave me did not match my pre-order amount. When I asked, they said I had purchased a full tank of fuel, but I hadn't signed any agreement for that. I insisted on a correction, and they issued a new invoice that matched my pre-order. They also kept pushing for insurance, but I showed them the bottom line of the QEEQ booking form, which made them stop talking about it. Be cautious as foreigners might try to take advantage of you. Do not rush when renting a car; understand everything before signing. In the UK, they give you the keys and paperwork at the counter, and you go pick up the car yourself. Do not simply drive off after collecting the keys; instead, take a pen, inspect the car thoroughly, and mark any scratches or damages on the form.     At the London Heathrow Airport branch, I was received by a lady who informed me that I had reserved a hybrid car (which is more expensive). I told her that was not the case. After typing on her computer, she realized she had made a mistake due to a name match. She then asked how many kilometers I planned to drive, and I responded that I thought the rental was unlimited mileage. She mentioned that based on my mileage, they could offer a discount on fuel, but I insisted on returning the car with a full tank. She then printed the documents for me to sign. I requested to verify each item and noted that there was an additional charge for super insurance, which I had already purchased through QEEQ, and it was clearly stated on the reservation not to upsell insurance. I pointed this out to her, and after some more typing, she reprinted the documents and retrieved the original ones. After picking up the car, I noticed that the inspection form indicated the car ran on diesel, but it was an Audi A3. Doubtful, I asked a security guard who politely suggested I smell the fuel tank, which confirmed gasoline. He double-checked with a colleague and confirmed that the document was incorrect.     I rented a car for two weeks this time. It was my first time renting a car in the UK. Hertz was quite reliable. I originally wanted to rent a Juke, but since there were no cars available, they upgraded me to a Mercedes directly. Returning the car was super fast. I was supposed to return it on the morning of October 12th, but I was worried the return process would be complicated, so I returned it on the evening of the 11th instead. The return process was incredibly fast. Not sure if it was because I bought full insurance. I asked if there would be any additional penalties or fees, and they said no, all done. I hope there won't be any extra charges later. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

I filled the tank before returning the car, but upon reaching the airport location, I noticed the fuel level was slightly below full. So, I went out again to top it up. Upon my second return, the staff did not inform me or give any hints and just printed a bill (I assume). I took it and went to the airport. At the airport, I discovered an additional charge of £7.62, presumably for the fuel shortage, apart from the usual rental fee and taxes. Calling them later, I found out their service time was over (after 18:00). I don't understand this practice, and maybe the staff was careless, but I am not satisfied with this outcome.
