Plenty of cars to choose from and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

It was okay overall, the whole process is pretty unmanned and mostly self-service.

I went ahead and bought full coverage on my own so I wouldn’t have to deal with any disputes if something happened. The insurance ended up costing more than the rental itself, but I guess that’s the price of peace of mind.

Got a free upgrade to a brand‑new Toyota hybrid SUV with just over 1,000 km on it.

They really push their insurance, and if you don’t take it they’ll put a pretty big hold on your card for the deposit. So when you pick up the car, make sure you’ve got plenty of available balance on your card.

Rented a BYD hybrid wagon in Germany this time – solid chassis, smooth acceleration, overall a great drive and ride. Service was generally good too. Little tip for anyone renting: when you pick up the car, make sure you specifically ask the staff for the blue parking permit card!

Pretty good overall and pretty fast. One of the female staff was really friendly and helpful. The guy was Indian and a bit harder to understand. They told me if I paid an extra 48 yuan for their insurance I wouldn’t have to pay any excess, but I’d already bought the full domestic coverage QEEQ recommended, so I didn’t take it. Returning the car was smooth. I took photos and videos when picking up and dropping off the car, just in case.

There weren’t many people there, and the staff really knew what they were doing, so I got my car quickly and without any hassle.

The pickup office usually closes for lunch from 1pm to 3pm, and we were about 10 minutes late, but they still waited for us. In the end they even upgraded us to a same-class car in much better condition, with only around 7,000 km on it.

They slipped in an extra insurance charge with all these abbreviated codes, so I didn’t pay much attention and assumed it was refundable. Turns out it wasn’t, so it kind of feels like a hidden fee.

Our self-drive trip in Spain went really smoothly overall. There was just one incident in downtown Barcelona: while we were stopped at a red light, an Indian guy on a motorbike punctured our right rear tire. We called for roadside assistance and the rental company responded really quickly, sending both a tow truck and a taxi. We took the taxi back to the rental office to swap cars. Returning the car was super easy too—you just park in the designated area and drop the keys in the mailbox. The service was excellent!

Super convenient location right by Guildford Station. They gave us a shiny BYD hybrid – really comfortable, loads of space, and great on fuel.

Really happy with the whole experience. No hidden fees at all, and they explained all the important details clearly before I picked up the car. They just asked once about insurance—when I said I’d already bought it on the platform, they didn’t push anything else. The car was basically brand new, only 28 km on the clock when I got it, and highway tolls within Hungary were already included.

Booked a Honda City but they upgraded me for free to a Hyundai KONA (2.0, 7‑speed). Drove it in sport mode up to the sacred mountain and it was seriously punchy, easy to keep up with the local Malaysian drivers. Totally changed how I think about Hyundai.
