SYRACUSE AIRPORT CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

We arrived half an hour early, and the staff initially confused the timing, almost charging us an extra $60. However, they offered us an upgrade. The car was brand new, a 2024 Durango V8, which was incredibly enjoyable to drive and had plenty of storage space. The downside was its fuel consumption, which made refueling painful.

Like: I liked that I was kept up to date and notified when a lower price was available. Also, this was the best price for a car rental.
Dislike: Nothing.

I often use their rental car service, and their customer service is very considerate, including assistance with extending rentals and other queries.

Very friendly.

Thought I had hired a compact car, but was given a much larger vehicle at no additional charge.

Was informed that there is an easy pass device in the car and ended not having one. Resulted me walking back and forth within the terminal and the hiring desk couple of times. Staff servicing was not what I preferred.

Car had a lingering smell of cigarettes. Otherwise, all was fine.

I tried to change drop off location but neither Avis or QEEQ could help me.

Syracuse is a small airport with not many people.

Like: The price and convenience of pick up at the Airport.
Dislike: Airport's major structural improvements made it confusing where to check in to pick up the car. Airport signage was not obvious about where the rental car counters were located. Drop off was perfect as ever!

Like: Every aspect of the rental went smoothly. I'll be using easyrentcars again that's for certain.

Picking up and returning the car was very convenient, the staff were on-site and answered all questions. Pretty good!

The car rental procedure was convenient. After providing the order, notary attested driver's license, passport, and credit card, the process was completed and I got the car keys. Based on Hertz staff’s suggestion, I upgraded the car model for an additional $20/day. Hertz mostly offers new cars; my Nissan Maxima had only driven 4,000 kilometers. Returning the car was self-service in the early morning. You park in the designated area and fill out the mileage and return time on the form given by Hertz during pickup. Drop the form and car keys in the return box at the Hertz counter, and you're done. However, the credit card has pre-authorized $708 (total rental price for three days was $507) and the actual billing has not been processed yet since I returned the car on the 20th.
