Never again

The service was decent, but the car model did not match the description. The process was fairly quick, but the booked car was unavailable, possibly because we arrived too early. The deposit was excessively high, £1505. Purchasing their insurance might lower the deposit amount.

Don\'t rent from this company just because it is cheap. The company\'s value is also extremely low. I rented a Citroen at Gatwick airport. At pick up, they did not thoroughly check the car with me. I parked the car for most of the two days (which was part of the reason I decided to rent from this company, I never rented a car from such an unknown company). At return, they checked extremely thoroughly and found a very fine scratch. They verbally told me there will be a repair fee of around twenty Pounds. Plus, I was in a rush to catch my flight, so I didn't fill up the tank all the way, which added another ten Pounds or so. Altogether, there was around thirty Pounds to pay. As I was about to miss my flight and the amount was quite minimal, I told them I would just pay it. I put forty Pounds cash on their desk, but they said they don\'t accept cash. So I used my credit card and left. A couple of days later, I found out that they had charged 324 Pounds on my credit card. I asked the booking aggregator to verify the charge, and they came back saying the rental company said that was the correct charge. I will never use this company again and advise everyone not to use this company. Do not be tempted by the low price. This company's values are as low as their prices. A few days later, I discovered they had charged me 324 Pounds. Upon my return, I contacted them via the booking site, and they replied that a scratch over ten centimeters requires such a charge. The scratch was so fine that you had to look extremely closely to see it, and it was definitely not caused by me. I will never use this rental company again, and I advise everyone not to use this company.

I was given a brand new car for my rental. As I had no experience of an electric car, the staff explained everything to me. The time at the counter is always a bit slow, as with most car hire companies. As I hire on a regular basis, usually every six weeks, it would be great if Green Motion could store my information on their records.

Qeeq is always the cheapest. My only quibble is when I book around 6 weeks in advance, I get my price. Around 5-6 days before the hire date I check if price has come down with Qeeq price checker. I then double check by creating a new booking for the same dates. Often it is a lot cheaper, so I cancel original booking and proceed with new booking. I shouldn't have to do this if Qeeq price checker was doing it's job!

Shuttle bus was not frequent enough

The staff was helpful in using the dreaded Dartford Tunnel, and eased problems thereof with full assistance. First assistant was a bit overbearing when trying to "upsell" insurance.On that subject, there is still a $1500 + charge in my credit card statement 2 1/2 days after returning the car with no problems.Most rental companies do not charge as much, and the charge is cancelled faster.

Overall, good value, - would consider using again now that we know where to get shuttle etc.
