Service was smooth, but the car condition was not great

On the second day of renting a car in Auckland, I accidentally damaged the side mirror. Despite having purchased insurance beforehand, the rental company still required a deposit of 8900 NZD. The mirror was fixed on the same day, and I continued driving, but I only received the repair bill a month later (just replacing a side mirror cost more than 1760 NZD). It's been two months since I returned the car, and the rental company still hasn't refunded the remaining 4060 NZD, citing possible third-party claims. In fact, I barely scratched the other party's mirror with no visible damage, and the other party politely said it was fine without requesting any repairs. The rental company’s refusal to refund the deposit is infuriating, and they have recently ignored my attempts to contact them. The rental company is run by Chinese people, so communication is easier, but the service is a nightmare.

Yes rentals kindly upgraded our vehicle free of charge. The staff were friendly and we would be happy to use them again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend yes rentals to friends and whānau

Easy website to use. Price drop was awesome and we saved a few dollars. I'm recommending this website to friends and whānau

One staff member managing the complete business. Plan for at least an hour for the drop because the same person maybe out for pickup that time. I had to wait very long during drop off. Also make sure each and every mark/scratch is captured. Overall not recommended

Car had terrible wipers and still had water bottles and good from previous renter.
