The car had an unpleasant smell. When we rented it, the windows were open for ventilation, so we didn't notice it. Later, we found the car smelled fishy and foul, and even spraying perfume didn't help. The smell ruined the whole trip. The experience was terrible.

I rented a car in March this year, and I actually forgot to leave a review... It wasn't until I planned another trip to New Zealand that I remembered. The service from EasiRent was very satisfactory, with affordable prices and excellent service. The staff were polite and responsible.

The service was practical but the vehicle introduction lacked detail. They didn't inform me that the jump-start cable was under the seat, which made it hard to find when the battery died.

“The waiting game for a lower grade of car”

Pick up from the airport was ok. When we got back to the office we had to wait 20 minutes as only one staff member was there and another customer was being looked after - that meant the whole pick up process took almost 45 minute from arriving at the offices to leaving the offices. The corolla we wanted and booked wasn't available so we were given an equivalent car we were told from the same class- however it was a 1400cc car not the 1800 cc car we booked- I dont believe they are the same class of car with a much smaller motor. We were offered a corolla but told had to wait 30 minutes - then after 30 minutes were told the corolla was not available as they only had a newer car and we needed to pay more to get it.

The counter staff were helpful however the car was old and had in excess of 100,000 km on the clock when I picked it up. Although it ran well I was concerned that I may have had broken down. The interior of the car was well worn with stained upholstery.
