The owner was very friendly, the pick-up and drop-off were punctual, and the car was in excellent condition. I will rent again next time.

On the second day of renting a car in Auckland, I accidentally damaged the side mirror. Despite having purchased insurance beforehand, the rental company still required a deposit of 8900 NZD. The mirror was fixed on the same day, and I continued driving, but I only received the repair bill a month later (just replacing a side mirror cost more than 1760 NZD). It's been two months since I returned the car, and the rental company still hasn't refunded the remaining 4060 NZD, citing possible third-party claims. In fact, I barely scratched the other party's mirror with no visible damage, and the other party politely said it was fine without requesting any repairs. The rental company’s refusal to refund the deposit is infuriating, and they have recently ignored my attempts to contact them. The rental company is run by Chinese people, so communication is easier, but the service is a nightmare.

Car was old but fair value for the cost. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delay picking up while issue with another customer was dealt with by the sole staff member.
