My booking confirmation said that all state tourism assessment was included in my car price. However when I got the bill there was a CA Tourism Assessment of 3.5% charged additionally.

My booking confirmation from QEEQ said that the price included all State Tourism Assessments. However Hertz charged me 3.5% as CA tourism Assessment additionally

Both pick-up and drop-off were very fast, and there was no issue with using a magnetic stripe card for the deposit instead of a chip card. We even extended our rental by a day without any formalities, and the fee was deducted directly from the deposit when we returned the car.

Returning the car was very convenient. On the insurance company's recommendation, I purchased roadside assistance and ended up using it.

The service was good. There were many people waiting in line to pick up the car, but they took me directly to the VIP pickup area.

Booked a mid size SUV specifically to fit our luggage. As soon as the rental clerk realised we didn’t need the additional insurance we were palmed off with a smaller SUV than needed. No pre inspection by the staff, couldn’t be bothered, luckily I always take extensive photos and videos as on returning the vehicle the inspection guy stated that I should have highlighted the parking dents and scratches before hand. Luckily I have photos on pickup and drop off. Beware!
