Routes car rental is a group of people who have absolutely no Interest in customer service

Very convenient, got an upgrade to a big Jeep. It was a new car with only over a thousand kilometers, at the original price. The car rental place is popular, and the service is quite good.

Waited at the airport for 30 minutes, and there was deceptive behavior. The fuel tank was only half full. I drove 35 miles and ended up refueling for 30 CAD. They acknowledged the tank was not full initially but refused to cover the costs!

1. This is supposed to be a local chain, but I only found two locations in the whole of Vancouver. 2. During the booking, I specifically chose the Jeep Cherokee, but I got a Nissan instead. The difference is night and day. I couldn't argue because the rental company is located outside the airport. If you don't want it, you have to walk back to the airport yourself. 3. Nowhere did it mention that there was a mileage limit. I went to the US and was told I could only drive 1300 kilometers in 6 days, and any extra would be charged at 30 CAD per kilometer. I just had to accept it. 4. When I picked up the car, they rushed me through a 1-minute inspection, but when I returned it, they took 10 minutes to check. They said there was a ~0.2cm scratch on the top of the windshield that wasn't there before. They insisted it was my fault. Are you crazy for money? Making all sorts of excuses to charge me. In the end, I had to catch a flight, so I unwillingly wrote down what happened.

I will NEVER use your service or the rental company Routes again. The staff at Routes were rude (put me on hold and hung up twice while i requested pick up), would not honor my agreement stating the changes were due to ICBCs recent insurance chands and the only solution they wanted to provide was to send me to their competitor.

Like: The shuttle driver was very very friendly. He did not waste any time. The day we returned the vehicle. The girl was super friendly also. We have already booked our next rental with them in Sept.
