CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON THRIFTY AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MIA

The Thrifty car rental service at this airport has relatively good service. However, they can be somewhat misleading by claiming that the road insurance is mandatory for everyone. During my second rental, I unknowingly paid for it. But subsequent rentals with Thrifty didn't have this issue. I now think there might have been a problem with that particular car, which is why they suggested I buy it.

They claimed the car had an accident while I was driving, but it actually didn’t happen. Let's see if they deduct any fees.

The car we received was a Kia, thoroughly cleaned and a brand-new 2024 model with just over 20,000 kilometers driven. Returning the car was straightforward—simply park it at the airport parking lot. Everything went smoothly!

Florida is a rip-off. The rental company charged me over $300 for tolls without any explanation.

The thrifty receptionist at MIA airport told me that I could get a refund for the unused fuel if I pre-pay the fuel. So I ordered it. I returned the car with almost full tank and they didn’t issue the refund. And they told me it’s not refundable. It is a complete fraud! I was cheated almost $75!

First car was high mileage and wouldn’t start the second morning due to bad battery. Jump started and returned car for a replacement which took a morning of our holiday

Pickup and drop-off processes were very efficient. They didn't try to upsell anything, just asked about insurance and E-pass. When I said I didn't need them, they processed it right away without further discussion.
