The "surprise car" was a Dodge Caravan. Too big for us as we were only two people. However, it appears that the big car was very useful for us during the trip. The car was not totally clean, lot of dust, mud, and sand inside and outside the car.

No wait for pickup. Booked a compact SUV, but received a mid-sized SUV instead. The exterior had several minor scratches, and the interior was quite dirty. Luckily, the car drove without issues and there were no complaints during return. Refund of the $200 deposit was processed within half an hour after returning the car. Note that getting the car earlier means you’ll need to return it earlier as well. Picked up the car within half an hour of landing on Kauai Island. Overall, satisfied.
