Cross-border travel is allowed. The rental company will provide a 7-day NOC permit for a fee of AED 420. You will also need to purchase additional cross-border insurance at the Oman border (not provided by the rental company). UAE rental insurance is only valid within the UAE. If any vehicle damage/traffic accident occurs outside the UAE, vehicle damage and related costs will not be covered under the UAE insurance. In addition, if you enter Oman, the insurance purchased at the Oman border is third-party liability insurance.

I didnt get the car which I had booked however alternative was good enough with lots of space for luggage. Car needed air in the tyres and that should have been done before the collection. Counter service was good however collecting the car took longer than I expected. After the rental I have seen 2 transactions on my credit card and it would be good if EasyRentCars would send an invoice either via email or in the app explaining the charges.

Very bad experience from Fastcars, they want to sell upgraded insurance, when I refused they started to threaten that if any scratch happens they will ask for 2500, they repeated that (philipno lady) Their location needs a taxi from T2 to T 1 i paid 90 dirham both ways. Then upon inspection they refused to note small scratches and they delayed me for around 30 minutes to bring the car. I called them on their dxb branch they don’t answer calls. They are really bad with customers

They wanted to charge me extra for exchanging it and delivering it to the airport. We went to the pick up counter at the airport. It took us time to get through the paperwork and then went outside to pick up the car. We were very disappointed at this stage as it was about 4am. The car finally came was a filthy Kia Rio which the booking staff highly recommended for us. The car was covered in scratches, there were quite a few dents and the car inspection staff Riaz did not want to acknowledge all the damages on the car, as we checked inside of the car it was filthy and smelt of smoke. When we told Riaz we wanted non smoking car he said this was the only car available. We were very tired at this stage after a 14 hour flight and decided to write on the inspection form the condition of the car, which Riaz was very unhappy. The car had clicked over 100,000 on the click and bearly managed to use the car for our enjoyment. On return of the car there was a different inspector who was aware of the condition of the car and commented that we were unfortunate to be given that car. We told him our experience with Riaz and he acknowledged that he one of the difficult staff in the company. If we can avoid it we will never use Fast Car Rental again. If anyone is taking this seriously then someone should come back and let us know the outcome. Incidentally you will notice that the car you are asking about is a Mitsubishi which I booked but got a Kia Rio fit to be scrapped.

I booked Ford Explorer and it’s supposed to be 2019 or 2018 model. They gave me 2017 Toyota Prado and promised me to replace it within one day which they didn’t commit to. They never answer phone calls despite tens of calls and once they answered they customer service was extremely bad! Never recommend them again.

Check the car throughly and take loads of photos, they will go over the car with a fine tooth comb at the end. Also photo the windscreen - they found a pin sized mark on the windscreen (1mm max, too small to show up on a wide angle photo) and were going to get me to pay for a new windscreen, when luckily they managed to clean it off (ie it was only dirt in the end). Not a very fun experience - stressful - I have never before had a pin sized mark questioned, let alone one on the windscreen - they told me the windscreen was worth more than the car.
