I was incredibly unhappy that I did not get the economy car I had rented and instead got an SUV.

Very excellent, straightforward and convenient.

This is an off-site location on Mannheim Road south of ORD. The pick-up involves taking the airport shuttle to the rental car center, then calling Routes for a pick-up. (Two shuttles altogether on pick-up.) Getting back to the airport after returning the car was easier, though: The Routes shuttle dropped returning passengers directly at their terminals rather than at the rental car center -- a nice touch.

Reasonable rental price.

The car that I reserved and called to confirm about was not available. I got a nicely equipped Nissan Rogue, but what I really needed was the fuel efficiency and convenience of a sedan.

Nothing to change. The app was easy to use. Due to a flight delay, I had to use customer service and they were very very helpful.

Routes did not have the vehicle I ordered. I was forced to take a smaller vehicle than my needs required. I got a very inexperienced counter person who was receiving no help from the other staff. It took a lot longer than It should have. Parking lot was very packed with cars. No room in the lot.

Three people including myself were all told the car they rented wasn't available and were given larger gas guzzlers or told after waiting an hour that they could return to the airport and find another service. It is not a shuttle away from the airport, but multiple shuttles away which is deceiving and complete BS.
