The African-American lady managing the vehicles at the San Francisco airport had a biased attitude. She smiled at white customers but gave me, an Asian girl, a very old car without Bluetooth support. Feeling cheated, I requested a change and was then given a 2018 GMC. Additionally, I was forced to buy personal insurance, which they claimed was required by California law.

The Chinese language service is nice and very helpful. Changing the drop-off location was also smooth, but there was a charge that wasn't clearly explained over the phone. To expedite the process, I agreed to the charge. One uncomfortable point: I booked a Jeep, but at the counter, they said only Hyundai was available and recommended an upgrade. When picking up the car, they gave me a GMC...

The car had issues but they replaced it immediately without any hassle, and the service was excellent. Thumbs up!

This was my second time renting from Alamo at San Francisco Airport. Since there were many people handling rental procedures when I arrived, I tried the self-service option. Just follow the instructions on the screen and input the required information step by step.

It felt like we were being upsold. They suggested an upgrade just by looking at the luggage and number of people without allowing us to see the original car to make the decision.
