I rented from Hertz in two locations, and the experience was quite good.

The car was new, easy to locate, and the return process was convenient. However, when picking up the car, the employee handed over the keys and disappeared. I noticed significant scratches on the car and waited a long time for the employee to return. I requested a note on the condition, but he said it wasn't his job and that photos were already emailed. I had to take a video for my own record. The return process didn't have any issues, and the $200 deposit was refunded today, which made me feel relieved.

The customer service was excellent. Our car got broken into midway, and Hertz arranged a tow truck and Uber to their local branch in the middle of the night for us to get a new car.

My flight was delayed 24 hours, I called Hertz direct to let them know, it was no problem and they refunded me for the day that I didn't use. Pick-up and drop-off were both very quick, car was clean... everything went smoothly.
