Geneva airport car rental is pretty easy inc with Alamo

Picked up two brand new Benz Vito cars from the airport with friends, no issues at all. The paperwork and car pickup process were quick, and there's a shuttle from the counter to the parking lot every 10 minutes. The pickup and return procedures were explained in detail, and no language issues as everything was communicated in English. Upon returning the car, there were some scratches on the rims and we were informed there would be compensation. They said the damage department would assess and deduct the cost from the credit card used for the reservation, and send the detailed bill to the provided email. It took about 7 business days to receive the charge information, which was split into two transactions. However, even after returning to my home country, I hadn't received the detailed email from the rental company and had to request it myself. This was a bit unsatisfactory.

We didn't realise we had to check in at the desk in the airport first of all, as in Spain when there is a shuttle bus you normally don't need to check in at the airport. We just got the shuttle back and checked in at the airport. We will know next time! Staff were very friendly and efficient, we got a free upgrade and the car was outstanding for our family journey to the mountains in France. They were also very helpful when my husband and child left items in the car and we got them back. We also got a phone call a few days in to check all was OK with the car.

Easy and quick. Car hire is very expensive at Geneva airport, in comparison with Spain. However you were priced competitively and the car was great.

Staff fine, rental desk easy to find. Quicker to walk, which we did, to the car location.

Worked as advertised.
