The trip was three days to the Highlands and Isle of Skye, covering 600 miles. British drivers are indeed very disciplined, but it's true they don't slow down at turns. On those roads narrower than a two-lane road in China (often lacking a centerline), with a speed limit of 60 mph (100 kph), occasionally you'd see a fast-moving European heavy truck coming from the opposite direction. Later, I appealed online and received a response the very next day stating that since I was a foreigner visiting for the first time and might be unfamiliar with the rules, both tickets would be canceled, which did lift my spirits a bit.

It's quite far from the train station platform. If you don't have someone watching your luggage and have to return to load it after getting the car, it can be tiring. The staff is very warm and friendly.

However, most websites start by saying that cars can be hired from £15 a day, which a big myth. £50 is closer to the truth. This is quite acceptable to me, so perhaps the websites can happily be more truthful! The staff at the National counter were very efficient, yet thorough.

I do not know what this Price Drop Predictor is! I was not flying in to Edinburgh. I also do not carry a credit card. So I called/messaged the customer service team. I got a call back in less than 15 minutes and a young girl cleared all my doubts. I had no issues when I went to pick up the car.

Edinburgh Airport is relatively easy to locate. The staff had a bit of an accent, but it didn't affect communication. The only issue is that inspecting the car at night can be challenging.

The service attitude was very good, and the car pickup process was very quick.
