You can walk to the counter of Europcar - Phuket International Airport car rental.

Europcar counter is located in the rental area near gate 5.Please call +66 81 9046521 if needed.

Drop-off Instructions

Please contact the store 15-30 minutes before returning the vehicle at +66 2 6415411 to arrange the drop-off. Then, drive the car to Gate 8 of the terminal, where a staff member will be waiting for you.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1-2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

The whole process was easy and straightforward, however, they did offer me the upgraded Super Collision Damage Waiver which meant I had no responsibility for any damage to the car and no excess, but then I still had to pay £225 deposit which I didn't understand. I'm still waiting for this amount to be returned.

The car did not meet expectations. It lacked basic features such as charger (cigarette lighter), spare tyre, Bluetooth and the USB port in the stereo system did not work. The car did not seem to have been maintained or serviced as acceleration was poor and rough, the brakes needed pumping. The exterior had scratches and dents. Finally Europcar is charging disproportionately high damages for some scratches to one hubcap. Given the preexisting dents on rest of car, it's unlikely to replace..

It was around 12 midnight and there were only 1 other customer in front of me. However we have waited more than 20 mins for the vehicle to arrive.
