The counter staff made me choose option with the gas charges of $66.45, when I specifically told him i will return gas full. The lady in Lexington told me about this charges and to call costumer service in Chicago. I did and the person was very unfriendly, seemed very busy and lie i was bohor him asking for me refund. He told me to send him receipt of my gas purchases, even though in the system was put that i return the vehicle with gas full. I didn't have time and patience to deal with him. I call costumer service in Lexington and they told me right away I will get refund within 1-3 days. I requested mini van I received Nissan Pathfinder. the car was spacious, smooth and easy to drive until night time. In the dark lights were so little i couldn't see the rode at all. I was scared to drive and very tired my eyes because of the lights. I will never again choose that car.

No hassle experience. The Chevrolet Equinox was a great vehicle to drive and was in very good condition, almost new. The 'Blind Zone alert feature on the side view mirror while changing lanes was really great and helped a lot. The pick-up and Drop-Off process was very quick and efficient. Especially the drop-off was very smooth and efficient that it took less than 3 minutes to finish, even with some charges added for fuel level being less.
Had an issue with 'Change Engine Oil Soon' warning on the dash board after 5 days of usage as it was time for oil change. Contacted both customer service on phone and Budget physical location in Lafayette, IN. I was told to continue with driving the vehicle, though I was not comfortable.

Budget and Alamo are the same company. The signs at O'Hare Airport are terrible. I walked a kilometer to find the shuttle to the rental area. The staff was nice, a group of cheerful African Americans. However, the forced upgrade was a bit annoying.

There were over twenty people in line, and only one person was working. I don't know what the others were doing in the office, but at the very least, they need to ensure the counter service. The service attitude was okay, but the unexplained charges were very confusing. I was charged a deposit twice, paid the rental fee in advance, and was unexpectedly charged again when returning the car. They said the deposit and charges would be refunded within two business days, but there has been no news. Make sure to purchase third-party liability insurance before booking, otherwise, you won't be able to pick up the car.

Long lines and few agents, waited for a long time. When it was finally my turn, they wanted to charge extra for a car with GPS because of the sound system. I refused and had to wait another 20 minutes for the manager. They first gave me a Prius, which I refused again, then the manager spent another 20 minutes to get me a Chrysler 300 with GPS.

This Chicago location is run jointly with Avis. Firstly, there are no clear signs indicating that members should go to the second floor while non-members stay on the first floor, so I wasted an hour in line. The funniest part is that I then waited another hour and a half on the first floor because all the cars were rented out and they were waiting for returns. I landed at 2 PM and didn't get the car until almost 5 PM.

We've rented cars multiple times in the US, and this was the first time we were asked for a cleaning fee several days after returning the car. We never eat in the car, filled up the tank before return, and cleared out plastic bags and empty water bottles, leaving only 5-6 unopened bottles. We don't drink beverages. The car was very tidy both inside and out. We only took one photo of the car's exterior, not the interior. When we returned the car, it was inspected on the spot, and they deducted toll fees from our deposit. We even asked if everything was fine, and they said yes, so we left and headed to the airport. A few days later, they sent photos showing signed windows and a messy interior, which was not our doing. The car could have been rented to others in those days. We can't understand why we should pay for cleaning. They insist we caused this and need to deduct $125 for cleaning. We don't know if this is Budge's doing or if it's a decision by the rental platform.

Also pay by plate for toll’s on the Illinois web site, it doesn’t always work and budget will take payment from your card but it’s not that expensive if they do

Mostly great. However, they parked cars in the exit of the pickup area, so it was very difficult to pick up the car. We had to find someone to help. Unfortunately, they were unable to remove the blocking vehicles, but they were able to remove a vehicle on the far side which allowed us (with some difficulty) to leave.

The directions at O'Hare Airport are very clear. Taking the Blue Line train gets you there quickly. Once you get off, there's a whole row of rental counters downstairs. The process is simple, and you can head straight to the second floor to pick up the car.
