Budget initially said we hadn’t paid for the vehicle and refused the booking without bank proof. We were on the other side of the world from home and had none. Eventually they contacted the booking agent who was at fault and agreed it was fully paid.

Not good as they had not informed Budget that we had fully paid at the time of booking in the UK! It was sorted out after a very stressful morning.

I originally booked the cheapest car category, but ended up getting a Grand Cherokee. It's really huge... However, it drives very well. Even on winding mountain roads at a speed of 70-80 km/h, it inspires great confidence.
