The car rental company provided good service overall. However, the process at Munich Airport was a bit inconvenient. First, you have to handle paperwork at the counter, and then go to the parking lot to pick up the car. I carefully inspected the car inside and out, but if there were any issues, you'd have to return to the counter, which isn't very convenient. Also, I rented a Passat wagon, but was given a Skoda wagon, which felt like a downgrade. Since it was late at night and I didn't want to go back to the counter, and the Skoda was in good condition and a diesel, I let it pass. Still, the downgrade felt disappointing.

Picked up the car at Cologne train station, few people, completed the procedure within minutes. Returned the car in downtown Munich, fast process. Returned the car a few hours later than scheduled but called the return point in advance, and they charged an extra day.

Since the car I hired was fully booked, AVIS offered me a 7 seater car in order to fulfill my needs on carrying large luggages and number of small luggages. The car was brand new with few hundreds km used. It's really amazing.

The CS was quite helpful during my rental, there were instant reply for my sudden requests on cross border request and late return request. the service provided were excellent, efficient and professional.
