The service attitude was acceptable, but the vehicle's condition was not good. The engine oil warning light was on when picking up the car, indicating low oil levels. I had to buy and add oil at a gas station myself. During driving, the wheels often slipped, and the vehicle felt unstable.

The rental location is in a parking garage, just across a bridge from the train station, making pickup and drop-off quite convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. When returning the car, some scratches on the vehicle weren’t recorded beforehand, so we had to show the photos from pickup as proof. However, they weren’t overly strict and showed reasonable trustworthiness. Make sure to record a video and take photos of the vehicle before pickup.

This was my first time renting a car in the UK and driving on the right-hand side. Driving in the Scottish Highlands with narrow roads took some time to get used to. The vehicle was in excellent condition. The staff handling pickup and return were efficient and straightforward, and the car was even upgraded!

The rental company is very professional, and their service is enthusiastic. The car rented is either of the same class or slightly higher, and all vehicles come with navigation systems. However, the return inspection is extremely thorough, using lights to carefully check for any potential damage. If you don't purchase insurance beforehand, buying it directly at the store will only cost an additional 100-plus pounds.

I have paid the full insurance from axa insurance from the qued application and the employee in the desk said that my axa insurance isn't valid because it's a third party..obviously it was lie and I paid almost 210 euros for an insurance she told me about the glasses and the tires

Excellent staff at the Europcar counter very friendly and helpful, processed quickly, location is good. Car was just awful I've hired and driven alot of cars and without question the Vauxhall Crossland X is the worst car I've ever driven, 3700rpm at 70mph in top gear thing was screaming, gearbox felt like it was outta Kombi, ratios are horrendous, terrible fuel economy and pretty sure it wasn't firing on all 4 cylinders.

portacabin was hard to find and shut when we arrived - were told that if we'd come any later we'd have been charged extra. Was upsold cover having being told that we risked large bills for any potential damage or extra mileage. Then read in paper that Gold Car polled a long way bottom of car hire companies - not suprised

Interrent and Goldcar are not located in terminal anymore! You should update your details as you have to.use shuttle bus to pickup the car. I spent more than 30mins to find it out.

The hiring process was so slow and the condition of the hiring company offices is terrible. I had to wait for over an hour to pick up my car. The staff of this company were so rude. The condition of the car was so bad. There was an engine fault on the car and the guy told me to add some liquid to fix it which I did but the fault remained. The car only had quarter of fuel which so inconvenient. I will never book a car with easirent again. Terrible experience overall.

Edinburgh Airport is relatively easy to locate. The staff had a bit of an accent, but it didn't affect communication. The only issue is that inspecting the car at night can be challenging.

The trip was three days to the Highlands and Isle of Skye, covering 600 miles. British drivers are indeed very disciplined, but it's true they don't slow down at turns. On those roads narrower than a two-lane road in China (often lacking a centerline), with a speed limit of 60 mph (100 kph), occasionally you'd see a fast-moving European heavy truck coming from the opposite direction. For someone used to left-hand drive and driving on the right side, it's easy to steer into the curb or ditch on the left. On the Isle of Skye, I even got two tickets in a single day. The first was for overnight parking where charges start after 8 AM the next day—the officer issued the ticket at 8:20 to meet his quota. The second was because parking on roads with double yellow lines is prohibited—foreigners commonly parked like that, and I wasn't paying attention. I confronted the officer (both tickets were issued by the same officer) and explained the official parking lot was full, and he replied bluntly, “Come back another day then.” When I mentioned I already received two tickets, he mockingly said, “Today sure is my lucky day!” I deeply regretted not responding sharply at the time. Later, I appealed online and received a response the very next day stating that since I was a foreigner visiting for the first time and might be unfamiliar with the rules, both tickets would be canceled, which did lift my spirits a bit.
