This is my second time renting from Italy Car Rent. The process is straightforward and convenient. Although the pre-authorization deposit is relatively high, as long as the car is returned without damage, there are no issues.

Italian roads are very narrow, so we booked a small car. However, when we went to pick up the car at the scheduled time, the rental company didn't have the model we reserved and we ended up with a larger car. Although it was more comfortable to ride in, it was harder to drive and fuel costs were higher. The front desk staff was quite helpful despite limited English skills and even tried to sell us insurance, which we declined after clarifying the details. Be mindful when picking up your car.

Disaster finding where to pick up the car. Infuriating. Spent over an hour first finding their location and then actually locating the car. What a waste of time!
