I booked a Volkswagen Tiguan but received a plug-in hybrid Suzuki Across. The car had only 2000 miles on it and was quite new. The space was decent, but the small battery made it impractical for charging at public stations, so I had to drive it on fuel only, which was noisy but seemed fuel-efficient. Unfortunately, despite confirming with the staff at return that there were no overtime charges, the fuel tank was full, and the car was undamaged, I was inexplicably charged £20. I also did not receive a final invoice explaining the charges. It has been three working days since the platform sent an inquiry, and I have yet to receive a response. During pickup, there were 4-5 upsell attempts, but the staff awkwardly explained that they had to ask the customers due to system prompts, which I understood. I despise Europcar's system for this.

Picking up the car in London required taking a shuttle from the airport, but the pick-up was smooth. Returning the car in the Scottish Highlands was easy, as the staff just checked it quickly.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hire car was up to the standard I expected. It was a low mileage Hyundai Tucson and I found it clean and in excellent condition.

The platform is very easy to navigate. The car hire process is smooth and very reassuring. The platform stands up well in price comparison tests to other platforms. I have had zero issues using the Easyrentcars app.

Really disappointed with Europcar. Was told on arrival that they only have a Vauxhall Mokka, rather than the Qashqai. "Offered" an upgrade to an XC90, at just £90 per day as my choice wasn't available. Then offered a mercedes at an extra 50 per day. Still wanted my choice but was told the Mokka is the same. It definitely is not
