Fortunately, we rented a small car, otherwise it would have been difficult to navigate in and out of small towns. Google Maps often directed us to very narrow roads in small towns. The toll fee was automatically charged through an HGS device, and gas stations offered free car washes.

Initially, they wanted to give me a lower-tier vehicle without offering a refund, but eventually, we agreed on a Volkswagen minivan. The staff's English was very poor, making communication difficult. The day after picking up the car, an unauthorized charge of several hundred dollars was made to my credit card, which I have disputed through my credit card company. I've used AVIS frequently in the past, but I strongly advise against renting from this company in Kaysersberg.
