The day before, I stopped by to confirm the details. Seeing that there were three of us with a lot of luggage, they upgraded us to a Peugeot 3008 when we picked up the car the next day. They carefully walked us through an inspection of the car, proactively pointed out two small scratches, and suggested we take a video. They patiently taught us how to connect the phone to the navigation system. Since I purchased full insurance through the app, there was no upselling at the store. Returning the car in Rome was convenient; the drop-off was on the third floor of a building at the airport. They mentioned that the deposit would be refunded within a week if there were no issues, and it was refunded as promised. Overall, the service was excellent. Note that for the deposit, the driver's chip credit card (VISA or MASTER) is mandatory; magnetic stripe cards are not accepted.

The staff at the store and parking lot were very friendly, the process was quick, and there was no pressure to buy insurance. They even provided us with a more spacious Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, top configuration, equipped with adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The car's performance was excellent, effortlessly handling the winding country roads of Tuscany.

I was charged by Alamo for roadside assistance service still, after I clearly stated I did not want the service. Only two days later I noticed extra charge on my credit card. So far I filed request for refund but have not heard back yet

Our initial booking was canceled without giving the reason. It would be good to have the reason why, when receiving cancelation email, instead of just sorry we had to cancel your reservation

Car exceeded expectations. Drop off and pick up location in Pisa Airport under-staffed; waiting times could be improved. Drop off - no problem as no staff at 4.00 am.

No problem with car hire - but no formal email confirmation of contract completion - with thanks for returning keys in box - with updated mileage.
