There was only one staff member at the counter at the airport, and I arrived close to midnight, so there weren't many people around. However, there were quite a few people at the Hertz counter next door. After I got the keys, the staff member briefly mentioned the direction of the parking lot, and I had to find the car myself. I had reserved a Mercedes, but I ended up with a JEEP.

We were 1.5 hours late returning the car because a friend traveling with us hurt their foot. Europcar refused to waive the fee and charged us for an extra day. We left in a hurry and forgot a hat and water bottle in the car, but they claimed they couldn't find them. I suspect they were just thrown away during cleaning.

Rude agent in Lamezia. Accused us of damaging the mirror. Not willing to accept our explanation. Ignored our questions like we were not there. Will never rent from Europcar unless our formal complaint is thoroughly reviewed. Terrible customer service! Never been treated this way before!
